Brashear Baseball vs Bevier April 26, 2018

The Tigers were home Thursday to host Bevier for a 
varsity/jv double header. Things were scoreless in 
the varsity game until the top of the 3rd where Bevier
scored 6 runs to take a 6-0 lead. Brashear bounced back
in the bottom of the frame to score 5 and climb back in
the game. The Tigers would score 4 more in the 4th and
add an insurance run in the 6th to claim their first win
of the season by a score of 10-8. Zane Sykes, Brhet Place,
and Austin Peterson all homered for Brashear with Garrett
Housman having 3 hits and Quin Allen and John Gerhold also
having hits. Zane Sykes got the start with Colton Sayre
pitching in relief.

The jv game didn't go as well for Brashear. After jumping
out to a 1-0 lead after one inning, Brashear surrendered
three runs in each of the next 3 innings to fall to the 
Bevier jv squad by a score of 9-3. Garrett Housman homered
for the Tigers with Brhet Place and John Gerhold also having
hits. Levi Blankenship got the start for Brashear with Aden
Zentz, Garrett Housman, and Wyatt Reeves pitching in relief.
